OnePlus 5 Gold Variant To Be Amazon Exclusive

OnePlus is gearing up to launch a new variant of the flagship OnePlus 5. The company recently took to its official Twitter handle and revealed the information about the imminent launch of OnePlus 5. Touted to be Amazon Exclusive, the tweet also includes an image with the slogan “Something New. Coming Soon.”

According to Asianage, the Chinese-based manufacturer will most likely launch a Gold color variant of the phone. Although we don’t have any information about the expected launch date, the disclosure of the rumor via Twitter indicates an imminent release.

The OnePlus 5 is equipped with a 5.5-inch AMOLED FHD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on Oxygen OS. The smartphone is also available with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variants.

The highlight of the OnePlus 5 is the addition of a dual rear camera comprising of a wide-angle and telephoto lens. While the wide-angle lens bears a 16MP (f/1.7 aperture) Sony IMX398 sensor with support for Electrical Image Stabilisation (EIS). However, the telephoto lens, which is dubbed to the secondary lens features a 20MP Sony IMX350 sensor paired with f/2.6 aperture.

Talking about the front camera, the OnePlus 5 features a 16MP sensor with Sony IMX371 sensor alongside f/2.0 aperture. It also includes a screen flash with three modes such as On, Off, and Auto. Unlike the iPhone 7 series, the OnePlus 5 has retained the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

The addition of the Gold color will be a huge bonus for customers and will surely stand out from the already crowded Midnight Black and Slate Grey color options. With a thickness of 7.25mm, the phone is dubbed to be the slimmest OnePlus flagship ever manufactured by the company.

The 6GB RAM model of OnePlus 5 is available for Rs. 32999, while the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 37999. With trending specifications, the recently launched fifth edition of the OnePlus has garnered the attention of tech enthusiasts.
