Samsung has reportedly started to test Android 7.0 Nougat on several Galaxy C5, Galaxy C7, and the Galaxy C9 Pro smartphones. A popular tipster with the nick name @mmddj_china took to Twitter and revealed the build numbers of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the devices.
The update for the Galaxy C5 (SM-C5000) is tagged with C5000ZCU1BQH2, while the Galaxy C7 (SM-C7000) gets the build number of C7000ZCU2BQH1. When it comes to the Galaxy C9 Pro (SM-C9000), the device gets build number as C9000ZCU1BQH2. Moreover, the tweet also reveals that the update has been pushed to Chinese variant of the smartphones.

We don’t have any information about when the Samsung will push the relevant Android Nougat update for the devices. However, we expect Samsung to release the update by the end of September. The update will be released in a phased manner via OTA. Hence, it will take several days for the new software bits to appear on the device.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update will bring the core features such as split-screen, improved notifications and enhanced power saving mode via Doze. The update also includes a wide range of fresh emojis including several bug fixes and performance optimizations.
After the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy C series devices in China, we expect the company to throw in the update for other regions as well. We will continue to keep track of the developments. Stay tuned.
