Ulefone has released the much-awaited Ulefone Armor 2 rugged phone with 6GB RAM and 4700mAh battery in Dark Gray and Gold color variants. Moreover, the handset is resistant to water and dust via IP68 technology. The phone was released after the huge success of the Ulefone Armor, which was dubbed as an entry level smartphone.
According to company sources, the presale of the Ulefone Armor 2 will kick start on August 15. The company will provide coupons and gift bags worth $40 for all customers. The main highlight of the Ulefone Armor 2 is the addition of dust and water resistant capabilities via IP68. Moreover, the phone is capable of resisting under water up to 1.5-meter depth for an hour. It can also survive up to 1-meter depth in concrete for 24 hours.
Ulefone has designed the phone in a sealed structure with inevitable structural gaps coupled with waterproof taps and sealing rings. The Armor 2 incorporates a high-density macro-molecule coating for the earpiece, microphone, and speaker. The frame is manufactured using flexible TPU, reinforced polycarbonate, glass fiber paired with metal. The display is well protected against scratches with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Armor 2 features protective nubs on all the four corners, which provide ultimate protection against drops and falls. The handset is also designed in such a way that it can withstand extreme working temperatures from -40-degree to 80-degrees.
On the specifications front, the Ulefone Armor 2 features a 5-inch HD display, Helio P25 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage powered by a 4700mAh battery. The display bears a pixel density of 441PPI and the massive 6GB RAM helps users to work without any lags.
The device also ships with a fingerprint scanner, which is capable of unlocking the handset within 0.1 seconds. The phone features stock Android 7.0 Nougat, which helps you to work with a wide range of features such as split-screen including improved power saving mode and notifications.
While the rear camera offers 16MP sensor, the front-facing camera comes with a 13MP sensor. The advantage of the phone is the integration of waterproof cameras and shutter button, to enable users to capture images under water.
