If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch Mi Mix 2 smartphone on September 12 in China. Recently, we saw a plethora of rumors surrounding the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 handset from various quarters. We expect that the company will launch the phone within the next few days since the rumors have intensified.
Moreover, the retail price of the Xiaomi Mi Mix, which was released in 2016 was dropped. According to tech enthusiasts, the price drop signals the imminent arrival of the next generation flagship.
The latest news from the rumor mills is that Mi Mix 2 will be launched on September 12 with the increase in screen ratio. The phone will integrate a display in such a way to increase the aspect ratio. The main attraction of the phone is the addition of a bright silver color variant.
While the 6GB RAM model will have 128GB internal storage, the 8GB RAM variant of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will have a massive 256GB internal storage. The 6GB and 8GB RAM handsets will be priced CNY 3999 and 4999 respectively. The inclusion of a 256GB storage is a huge bonus for users since they can store plenty of files and install several apps without any need to buy microSD card.
Touted to be named as Chiron, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be equipped with a 6-inch JDI display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 12MP rear camera alongside Sony IMX386 sensor. A 3400mAh battery supplies adequate power for the handset.
When it comes to the sound, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will most likely make use of the AAC instead of piezoelectric ceramic material. Moreover, the phone will be manufactured to deliver low power consumption coupled with enhanced sound output and accurate fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be initially launched in China. We don’t have any information about when Xiaomi will launch the phone in other regions. It is to be noted that Xiaomi hasn’t launched the Mi Mix outside China. Hence, the possibility of a launch of the phone outside China looks bleak.
