Gionee M2018 has been officially cleared by TENAA. Touted to be the successor to the M2017 launched in 2016, the device name for the upcoming Gionee M2018 smartphone has been named as TD-LTE digital mobile phone. Based on the image posted on TENAA, the design looks identical to that of the previous counterpart.
The official TENAA certification page reveals four images. We can see that the handset has relatively thin bezels at the top and bottom. The left and right side don’t have any bezels. Moreover, the fingerprint sensor with an oval shape is placed at the front. The sensor is actually housed between the display and it looks thick.
The sidebar looks very thick when compared to competing handsets. It is separated by a white bar alongside black color design.
The side panel also bears the power and volume rockers. We are unable to view any other controls.
On the rear, we can clearly visualize the rear camera alongside LED flash. The rear portion looks completely different than traditional handsets with a new design. The silver bezel on the top and bottom clearly complements each other.
On the specifications front, the Gionee M2017 is expected to ship with a 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage loaded with Android Nougat. We don’t have any information about the camera specifications.
We expect Gionee to integrate a huge battery with 8000mAh capacity considering 7000mAh in Gionee M2017. That said, you should accept the facts only with a pinch of salt since there is no official confirmation.
