Asus has rolled out a security update for the newly launched Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro smartphones. The update assumes significance since the company has launched the phone just one day back in Taiwan.
The update being pushed via OTA for Asus Zenfone 4 with model number ZE554KL improves Wi-Fi connectivity including resolving the bug associated with FB twin functionality. With software build version 14.1050.1708.36, the update also resolves QR code for adding friend with Twitter.
Meanwhile, the update for the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL) with build number 11.40.208.44 enhances the quality of the images including improvement of the overall camera quality. Going forward, we can expect several new updates based on user feedback.
In addition to Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Selfie variants, Asus also launched the Zenfone Pro, Max and Max Pro models. The main highlight of the handsets is the integration of dual camera sensors on almost all Zenfone 4 models. The Selfie Pro model has a dual camera on the front and is exclusively designed for selfie enthusiasts.
On the specifications front, the Asus Zenfone 4 features a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 630 processor, Adreno 508 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, dual 12MP/8MP rear camera, 8MP front camera powered by a 3300mAh battery. The phone will be loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat, upgradeable to Android O.
Talking about the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, the handset is equipped with a 5.5-inch AMOLED FHD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, Adreno 506 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage loaded with Android Nougat. While the rear camera offers a 16MP sensor, the front-facing camera is integrated with a dual 24MP and 5MP sensors with LED Flash. A 3000mAh battery supplies power for the phone.
