HTC U11 Adds Full HD 60fps Recording Capability

HTC has rolled out a new software update for the HTC U11 smartphone for customers based in Hong Kong. With software version 1.27.400.9, the latest HTC U11 update provides support for Full HD video recording capability at 60fps. The update is being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the new software bits to hit the HTC U11 smartphone.

In addition to the FHD recording capability, the latest update also includes the Android security patches to address critical security vulnerabilities. Moreover, the update also resolves several bugs reported by the users including performance improvements alongside system enhancements.

The total capacity of the HTC U11 update is 663.54MB. Hence, it is advisable to activate Wi-Fi to avoid excess mobile data charges. It is to be noted that the update won’t delete any data from your handset. However, it is recommended to capture a backup of your files before proceeding with the download of the latest update.

Even though it is possible to install the update with 60 percent battery power, the official software update page has prompted users to charge the handset during the course of the update installation. If you are eligible, you will view an update message notification. Otherwise, you need to wait for few more days since HTC will push the updates in a phased manner. Alternatively, it is also possible to manually verify the presence of the update by navigating to the Settings menu.
