Samsung is scheduled to launch the much-awaited Galaxy Note 8 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event in New York at 11 AM EDT on August 23. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is seen with great importance especially in the wake of the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. The launch event will be live streamed on samsung.com/us in addition to Facebook. Moreover, you can also keep track of Twitter for the updates soon after the start of the launch. The upcoming Note 8 is expected to ship with a dual camera mechanism coupled with glass back and bezel-less Infinity display.

Free goodies with pre-order
According to Evan Blass (@evleaks) who works as a mobile reporter with Venturebeat and a popular tipster, the pre-orders for the Note 8 will kick start from August 24. As part of the launch offer, Samsung will bundle either a free 256GB SD card and wireless charger or a free Samsung Gear 360 camera. Furthermore, Blass also suggests that the European customers will be eligible to receive a free DeX dock.
Wide range of colors
In addition to the Midnight Black, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be most likely be available in Dark Blue, Deep Sea Blue, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, Gold, Orchid Gray/Violet and Pink color variants. However, the front panel will be designed in Black irrespective of the rear color. Samsung will also bundle the S Pen with the relevant color of the smartphone.
Dedicated Bixby button
The highlight of the Galaxy Note 8 is that the S Pen will be exclusively designed to enhance touch sensitivity. While the power/lock key will be housed on the right side, the volume rocker will find its place on the left side. Interestingly, the device will include a dedicated Bixby button, which enables you to activate digital voice assistant easily.
Bezel-less display
Specifications wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will feature a 6.3-inch QHD (2960×1440, 18.5:9) Infinity display. The handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor in the US, while the global variant will be integrated with Exynos 8895 processor. On the internals, the phone will bear a 6GB RAM alongside 64GB expandable internal storage.
Talking about the optics, the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a dual camera setup comprising of 12MP sensors. Like in the case of the iPhone 7 Plus, the primary camera sensor will ship with a f/1.7 aperture with support for dual-pixel autofocus. The secondary camera will be oriented for telephoto with support for 2x optical zoom and f/2.4 aperture. Samsung will most likely infuse optical image stabilisation (OIS) into both the lens.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Samsung will launch 256GB storage variant of the Note 8 exclusively for customers based in South Korea. With a thickness of 8.5mm, the Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by a 3300mAh fast charging battery with support for wireless charging. Price
Even though Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 8 handset on August 23, the handset will be officially available in retail stores on September 15. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be available from $800 for the standard variant and will crank up to $1180 for the premium 128GB model. We will have no other option other than to wait until the official launch of the phone.
