Apple is gearing up to launch iPhone 8 within the next few days. With September fast approaching, we can expect an announcement or teaser anytime. The latest rumor emerging from Weibo is that the iPhone 8 will be available in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB internal storage variants. Hence, we infer that the default storage will be bumped up to 64GB from 32GB.
While the default storage will be 64GB from Sandisk or Toshiba, the 256GB storage model will be a mid-level device manufactured by same companies as the base model.
The 512GB storage variant will be reserved for premium iPhone 7 with an OLED display. However, the drive will be designed and developed either by Samsung or Hynix. According to GeekBar founder Lei Ge, all the three variants of the iPhone 8 will ship with Apple A11 processor coupled with 3GB RAM.
Lei Ge also leaked an image of the rumored 64GB variant of the SanDisk storage drive. The disk has been tagged with SDMUEBDC4 and has been manufactured in China. It also bears a model number 6273DLYOOC.
We also expect the addition of dual-camera sensors on the iPhone 8 Plus and the 512GB model. However, the standard model will only feature a single rear camera. In all probability, the fingerprint sensor will be embedded into the physical home button.
We will continue to keep track of the developments and keep you updated. Stay tuned.
