Google Pixel 2 will most likely launch on October 5. According to Evan Blass aka @evleaks, who happens to be a popular tipster, took to Twitter and disclosed the information that the next-generation Google Pixel 2 smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 836 processor and will launch on October 5. We can believe Blass’s revelations to some extent since he is a reputed person to leak crucial tech facts before the actual launch.
The rumor assumes great significance in the wake of the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 on August 23. Moreover, LG is scheduled to launch LG V30 on August 31 followed by iPhone 8 in September.

The addition of Snapdragon 836 processor helps the Pixel 2 handset to work with less power without sacrificing performance. Moreover, the upcoming Pixel handsets will not be equipped with a traditional 3.5mm headphone port.
Touted as an incremental update of the Snapdragon 835 processor, the Google Pixel series launched in 2016 was shipped with a Snapdragon 821 processor as against Snapdragon 820. Even though we don’t have any official confirmation, the search-engine giant is scheduled to unveil Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets.
While the Google Pixel 2 will be surrounded by thick bezels, the Google Pixel 2 XL will be designed with smaller bezels similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones. Moreover, the standard model will be manufactured by HTC and the premium variant will be designed with LG.
The main highlight of the Google Pixel smartphones is the integration of Android Oreo. According to rumors, the version number will be 8.1 but we expect the addition of Android 8.0 Oreo. In all probability, Google will not allow other manufacturers to ship new smartphones with Android Oreo until October 5 when the company launch Pixel handsets.
