HTC has rolled out August Android security update in Europe for the flagship HTC 10 smartphone. Jeff Baines, who happens to be a security analyst shared a screenshot of the software update page on his official Twitter handle. The message reveals that the security update has reached Germany.
With software build number 2.41.401.41, the update for the HTC 10 measures 259.45MB in weight. In addition to Android security patch, the latest update also includes several improvements and bug fixes. After the installation of the update, the performance of HTC 10 will improve to a large extent.

Before proceeding to tap the download button, it is advisable to establish connectivity with the Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Moreover, the handset should be charged up to 90% to avoid interruptions.
The update is being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for it to hit your smartphone depending upon the location. Alternatively, HTC also recommends users to manually check the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon. To recall, the company had rolled out the August security update for the HTC 10 customers based in Hong Kong only recently.
Specifications wise, the HTC 10 is equipped with a 5.2-inch QHD (1440 x 2560) Super LCD5 Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 graphics, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB expandable storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
While the rear camera comes with a f/1.8 aperture with support for OIS and dual-LED flash, the front-facing camera comes with f/1.8 aperture alongside OIS support. A 3000mAh fast charging battery provides adequate power for the handset. It is possible to charge 50 percent in 30 minutes.
