Elephone recently released the much-awaited Elephone S8 smartphone with a tri-bezel-less display. Xiaomi Mix is a premium smartphone released by the company in 2016. The rumor mills suggest that the company is currently working on the second edition of the bezel-less display handset.
Even though both Elephone S8 and Xiaomi Mix have an identical appearance, they share similar features and characteristics. While the Xiaomi Mix features a ceramic back cover, the Elephone S8 is equipped with a Lumia glass back, which looks stunning under the light.
Elephone S8 is manufactured using premium high-end glass material whose hardness can be comparable to ceramic materials. Hence, it is not possible to easily scratch the handset. Moreover, the rear cover will not be damaged. Instead of single black color in Xiaomi Mix, the Elephone S8 is available in black and blue color variants. The company has announced that the Red and Gold color variants of the handset will be released soon.
Elephone S8 makes use of the 2K display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels alongside a density of 489PPI. However, the Xiaomi Mix employs an FHD display with a resolution of 2040×1080 pixels paired with 362PPI. As you can observe, the display of the Elephone device will be more clear and delicate when compared with Xiaomi Mix.
The image released by Elephone reveals that the body size of the Elephone S8 looks smaller when compared with Xiaomi Mix. Hence, it is possible to work with the handset in one hand.

While the screen-to-body ratio of Elephone handset is 92.4%, the Xiaomi Mix bears a ratio of 91.3%. Hence, the S8 has completely realized high screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, the S8 features an Helio X25 processor, 4GB RAM alongside 64GB internal storage to provide a smooth working experience.
The big advantage of Elephone S8 over Xiaomi Mix is the cost. While the S8 is available at $279.99, the Xiaomi Mix is priced at $500, which is very expensive. Meanwhile, Elephone is providing a $40 coupon for all customers who pre-order the handset between August 22 to September 11.
