AT&T has started to roll out August security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ smartphones. Based on Android 7.0.1 Nougat, the latest update is being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few more days for the message notification to appear on your smartphone.
The updates for the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ has started to arrive with software versions G920AUCS6EQH1, G925AUCS6EQH1, and G928AUCS4EQH1 respectively. In addition to bug fixes, the August security update also includes patches to address security vulnerabilities and other related improvements.
After the installation of the update, the relevant Galaxy handsets will work with enhanced performance and stability without any lags. It is advisable to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi before proceeding to install the update and also charge the handset up to 90 percent to avoid interruption.
If your device is eligible, the relevant update message notification will appear on the display. Alternatively, it is also possible to manually check for the update by navigating to Settings icon.
Just when we are talking about the updates, Samsung also released the flagship Galaxy Note 8 handset with a 6.4-inch AMOLED Infinity display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM coupled with dual rear cameras.
On the specifications front, the Samsung Galaxy S6 features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED QHD (1440 x 2560) display, Exynos 7420 processor, Mali-T760MP8 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32/64/128GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat.
