T-Mobile & Sprint HTC 10 Gets Better With Security Updates

T-Mobile and Sprint have rolled out July and August security updates for the flagship HTC 10 smartphone. The US-based T-Mobile has pushed July security update for the HTC 10, while the August security patch has been rolled out to Sprint variant of the phone.

While the Sprint HTC 10 gets the software build number of 2.51.651.11, the T-Mobile has introduced the update in the form of the software version 2.51.531.3. It is to be noted that the updates are being pushed over OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your handsets depending upon your location.

Before hitting the Download button, it is advisable to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Moreover, users should charge the phone up to 90% to avoid interruption.

Normally, security updates contain bug fixes including features and improvements. The capacity of the update file will not be too big when compared to the full blown Android Nougat. Hence, you will be able to install the update easily. Even though the installation of the update will not cause data loss, it is vital to capture a backup of all the files and media content for safety reasons.
