Elephone has announced the launch of a new smartphone with 18:9 aspect ratio. The company has exposed an image of the upcoming camera beast smartphone with 18:9 aspect ratio. The standard aspect ratio of a PC and TV is 4:3. It is to be noted that the 4:3 ratio is the standard display size in several devices.
With the rapid emergence of smartphones, the aspect ratio of 4:3 is replaced by the ratio of 16:9 including that of standard PC LED monitors. In early 2017, LG G6 was released with 18:9 display followed by Samsung Galaxy S8 series with 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
As you can see the aspect ratio of 18:9 is very much popular. The integration of 18:9 ratio is not a big surprise since many manufacturers have already released smartphones with similar ratios.
When it comes to the cost, the smartphone with 18:9 will be expensive than traditional handsets. Moreover, the look and feel of the smartphones will be very unique and it gives a very comfortable feeling. We have inside access that the company is gearing up to launch the new phone.
We don’t have any information about the Elephone smartphone except the fact that it ships with 18:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, from the leaked image we can infer that the upcoming phone will ship with a bezel-less curved display. The front camera will provide support for the dual camera alongside LED Flash. The phone is tipped to compete heavily with the Elephone P8 and P8 Mini smartphones released in 2017.
We don’t have any details about the expected price of the smartphone with 18:9 aspect ratio. However, we expect that the company will fix the price at a budget-friendly tag to cater to the needs of several tech enthusiasts.
