Canon has announced the launch of the Canon EOS M100 camera starting at $600. Touted to be a mirrorless camera, the Canon EOS M100 is an improved edition of the EOS M10 launched in 2015. However, the new camera works similar to that of the previous counterpart.
Specifications wise, the Canon EOS M100 features a 24.2MP APS-C sensor coupled with Canon’s DIGIC 7 image processor. The camera provides an ability to capture FHD videos at 60fps including the ability to burst at 6.1fps for still images. Equipped with Dual Pixel autofocus system, the Canon EOS M100 provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
Talking about the design, the Canon M100 looks identical to that of the brick shaped point without a rugged body. Canon also added that they are working to integrate EF-M series of lenses. It is also possible to make use of an optional adapter to mount the EF and EF-S lenses.
It is to be noted that the Canon M100 is a budget-friendly mirrorless camera. Hence, investing for an accessory worth $200 doesn’t look promising. The product package includes a 15-45mm EF-M kit lens along with the camera to enable you to generate landscape scenes with minimum effort.

Expected to ship in October 2017, the aim of the Canon is to push the newly launched M100 camera among travelers and tech enthusiasts. The camera looks premium with an excellent look to help them to capture stunning visuals.
Even though the cost of the Canon M100 is fixed at $600, the price will shoot up to $900 depending upon the accessory you would like to choose. You will have to pay for optional lens kits.
