Asus has rolled out August security update for the Asus Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL) smartphone. With software version number 14.1050.1708.41, the Asus Zenfone 4 update is being made available on an incremental basis. Interestingly, the update number for the previous build was tagged with 14.1050.1708.36.
Upon installation, the Asus Zenfone 4 will be updated with the latest August security patch. The update has removed ArcSoft words from Super Resolution including pushing Google security patches for MSM chipsets. The official release note doesn’t specify any other features and improvements.
In addition to patches, the August security patch for Asus Zenfone 4 also ships with several security vulnerabilities including bug fixes. After the installation of the update, the Asus Zenfone 4 will work with enhanced stability.
Like in the case of the previous update, it will take few days for the update to hit your handset depending upon the location. It is also advisable to manually check for the presence of the update by tapping Settings icon. Before proceeding to install the update, it is essential to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and also charge the handset up to 100 percent.
Asus is also working towards the release of a new update based on Android Oreo. The new Android platform provides support for Picture-in-Picture mode, refreshed settings including automated snooze notifications.
