Verizon has rolled out a new software update via OTA for the Droid Turbo 2 handset. The update features August Android security update with bug fixes and improvements. With software version 25.216.2, the update for Droid Turbo 2 will improve security and performance of the handset including resolving several bugs that are reported by users based on the previous release.
On the specifications front, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is equipped with a 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED (2560×1440, 540PPI) display, Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB expandable (up to 256GB) internal storage loaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is possible to upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.
While the rear camera features a 21MP sensor, the front-facing camera bears a 5MP sensor with support for LED Flash. The rear sensor provides support for PDAF and dual-LED flash. With the camera, you will be able to capture 2K videos at 30fps and FHD videos at 30fps with HDR support.
Before proceeding to install the update, it is advisable to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi to avoid excess data charges. Meanwhile, Motorola is gearing up to release X4 smartphone with a 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 630 processor alongside water and dust resistance capabilities via IP68 technology. A 3000mAh will most likely provide adequate power for the handset.
