Asus has pushed another round of update for the recently launched Asus ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL) smartphone. With build number 14.1050.1708.45, the latest update to Asus ZenFone 4 is an incremental update to the previous patch, which was dubbed as version 14.1050.1708.41.
The latest update to Asus ZenFone 4 include improvements to camera quality including support for low-light HDR. The update also resolves the app crash involved with the Contact app after performing a call with hiding phone number.
The company also fixed a bug where the receiver is silent when touch sound is activated. Moreover, the update also ships with several performance enhancements including system-wide improvements. After the installation of the update, the Asus ZenFone 4 will work smoothly without any crashes and lags. As always, if any bug is found, it can be reported to the Asus product team.
The update is being rolled out over the air. Hence, it will take few days for the latest batch of the update to hit the Zenfone 4 devices. Alternatively, the presence of the update can be verified by navigating to the Settings menu. The System Updates menu option should be selected from the About device page.
In addition to establishing connectivity with Wi-Fi, the ZenFone 4 handset should be charged up to 60 percent before proceeding with the download of the update. The purpose of the Wi-Fi is to avoid excess mobile data charges. Meanwhile, Asus is gearing up to launch the much-awaited ZenFone 4 series in India on September 14.
