BlackBerry has rolled out September security update for the BlackBerry Priv smartphone. With software version number AAO484, the update for the BlackBerry Priv ships with the latest security patch. After the installation of the update, the performance of the BlackBerry Priv will improve to a large extent.
The update also includes bug fixes including improvements and is being rolled over the air. If you have access to BlackBerry Priv, you should get an update message notification. You need to proceed as per the instructions displayed on the screen. Alternatively, the availability of the update can be manually checked by navigating to the Settings | About | System updates menu.
That said, the September security update for the smartphone can be easily installed since the overall capacity of the update will be less when compared to a full-fledged Android Nougat. Before proceeding to install the update, it is advisable to activate Wi-Fi to avoid excess mobile charges. Moreover, the handset should be charged up to 90 percent to minimize interruptions.
