HTC has pushed a new software update for the HTC 11 smartphone running on Sprint. With software version 1.28.651.3, the latest HTC U11 update includes the much-needed Android security updates including bug fixes and performance enhancements. After the installation of the update, the performance of the HTC U11 will improve to a great extent.
The update is being rolled out via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit the HTC U11 smartphone. If the update is available, a message notification will be displayed on the screen.
Before proceeding to hit the Download button, it is advisable to establish connectivity via Wi-Fi and also charge the phone up to 90% to avoid interruption. However, it is very much possible to install the update even with 40% battery because the capacity of the update will be less than a full-fledged Android Nougat update.
Meanwhile, HTC is gearing up to release Android 8.0 Oreo update for not only HTC U11 but also HTC 10 and HTC U Ultra smartphones with features such as Picture In Picture mode, snooze notifications, refreshed settings page among others.
Equipped with a 5.5-inch Super LCD5 QHD display, the HTC U11 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB expandable storage, 12MP rear camera, 16MP front camera. Moreover, the smartphone comes with a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging. In addition to PDAF, the HTC U11 also provides support for OIS, dual-LED flash, face detection alongside HDR.
