Xiaomi has launched Mi Notebook Pro with a 15.6-inch display along with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 smartphones. The attraction of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is the possible integration of 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor. However, the laptop will also be available in lower processor variants such as Intel Corei3 and i5 respectively. The display will ship with a 72% NTSC color gamut alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
During the launch event, the company also announced that they have implemented a symmetrical cooling design technology to ensure quick cooling after extreme gaming sessions. The laptop will offer a full-size backlit keyboard, which is 19% larger than the MacBook Pro.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is equipped with a fingerprint sensor integrated onto the touchpad. Moreover, the sensor will be compatible with Windows Hello. The laptop will be available in 8GB RAM with both Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The 16GB laptop model will ship with Intel Core 7 processor.
In addition to the 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro will ship with Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics coupled with 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at a clock speed of 2400MHz. The notebook will be infused with PCIe SSD up to 256GB capacity.
In addition to dual USB Type-C ports, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro also includes a microSD card slot, a traditional headphone port, HDMI port and dual USB Type-A ports comprising of USB 2 and USB 3 ports. With a weight of 1.95kg, the Mi Notebook Pro measures 15.9mm in thickness.
If you are a fan of entertainment, you can cheer because the laptop is integrated with Harman Infinity customized speakers coupled with Dolby Atmos audio. The 60Wh battery will be capable of charging 50 percent in 35 minutes. While the Core i7 16GB model is priced at CNY 6999, the 8GB model will cost CNY 6399. The Core i5 model will be available at CNY 5599.
