

Vodafone India has launched the first ever truly unlimited International Roaming plan across Europe and UK at Rs. 180 per day. Touted as Vodafone i-RoamFREE, the international travelers will be able to activate a package and use their number overseas from the UK and other popular travel destinations of Europe such as Germany, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Turkey, Albania, Greece, Romania, and Italy.
In addition to Europe, travelers can also make use of the unlimited calling and data in USA, UAE, Singapore, and Malaysia with the same package. The company sources revealed to us that the total number of unlimited countries amounts to 18.
The package is available at multiple affordable price points ranging from Rs 5000 for 28 days, which equates to Rs. 180 per day. The minimum package available as per the plan is Rs. 500 for every 24 hours. To activate the pack, the Prepaid and postpaid customers can activate the pack via My Vodafone App or on the website – vodafone.in/ir.
Commenting on the development, Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India disclosed that the company has extended the international roaming proposition for additional destinations such as Europe, USA, UAE, Malaysia, and Singapore after launching it in few regions early 2017.
The purpose of the international roaming plan is to eliminate the hassle of carrying local SIM cards or looking out for public WiFi during overseas travel. As a customer, you can upload images and videos, check maps, e-mails and also stay connected with their loved ones at any time without worrying about exorbitant international roaming bills. The customers can stay connected with their existing Vodafone number and experience the best of voice and data services.
In addition to 18 countries, the same package will also enable consumers to work with their phones across 42 other countries. The company has recently added Qatar, Sweden, Japan, Norway, Egypt, Denmark to this package. You can receive incoming calls for free and make any call for Rs. 1 per minute including the ability to browse data at Rs. 1 per MB.
