iPhone 8 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy S8+: What’s the difference?

Apple launched the iPhone 8 Plus to put a full stop to the rumor fire since 2016. The main highlight of the phone is the addition of an A11 Bionic chip with dual cameras on the rear. Moreover, the company integrated fast charging capability. When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S8+, the device ships with a 6.2-inch display coupled with Bixby voice assistant and a fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the phone provides an ability to expand storage alongside a fast-charging battery. It is to be noted that both iPhone 8 Plus and Galaxy S8+ is resistant to water via IP67 and IP68 respectively. While the iPhone 8 Plus is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) IPS true tone display, the Galaxy S8+ offers a 6.2-inch dual edge Super AMOLED QHD (2960×1440) display. The pixel density of the Galaxy S8 Plus is higher than the iPhone 8, which will be beneficial while reading content. The fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the physical home button.

The newly launched Plus variant of the iPhone 8 is powered by an Apple A11 Bionic chip with Neural engine and M11 motion coprocessor. The device will be available in 64GB and 256GB internal storage capacities. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S8+ is equipped with a Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

The highlight of the Plus variant of the Galaxy S8 is the capability to expand the disk space, which is not possible with the iPhone 8 Plus. However, the iPhone will be able to withstand plenty of apps, images and videos because of the large default storage of 64GB instead of 32GB.

However, the Bixby assistant is still in its infancy but Siri has grown well over the last few years. The addition of a large display with huge resolution is a definite advantage when compared with the iPhone. The addition of a 6.2-inch display is a big highlight when compared to the 5.5-inch display in the iPhone. You will be able to read plenty of content with the Galaxy S8+ smartphone because of the bezel-less display. Even though the Bixby is new to the market, the company is planning to improve the functionality. Hence, you can expect new features and improvements before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 series in early 2018.
