Asus has launched ZenFone 4 Selfie series at a launch event in New Delhi on September 14. We have already covered Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie and Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie dual camera variants. Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL) is a premium smartphone launched by the company with a wide range of camera specific features.

Design

Available in Deepsea Black, Rouge Red, and Sunlight Gold color variants, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is designed using premium metal with a thickness of 6.85mm. The display is coated with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass for enhanced protection. With a weight of 147 grams, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro offers 1.7mm-slim bezels to provide a premium look and feel. The phone also includes a fingerprint sensor on the front with 5-finger support.

Display

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) AMOLED display with 76.7% screen-to-body ratio and 500 nits brightness for enhanced outdoor readability. The display emits over 100% NTSC color gamut with the blue-light filter for improved eye protection. You will be able to work with the display using gloves.

Performance

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor manufactured using 14nm process alongside FinFET LPP (Low Power Plus) power saving technology. Moreover, the phone offers Adreno 506 graphics, 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable internal storage.

Rear Camera

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro features a 16MP Sony ASUS SuperPixel Engine-enabled sensor with f/2.2 aperture, LED real tone flash with support for PDAF. It is possible to shoot 4K UHD videos at 30fps and FHD videos at 60fps. The sensor also provides support for 3-axis EIS, which will enable you to capture crisp selfies. You can capture photos while recording video.

Selfie Camera (Main)

On the front, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro includes a 24MP DuoPixel camera coupled with Sony IMX362 dual-pixel image sensor. The lens is integrated with Asus SuperPixel engine with the ability to capture low-light images with 2X light sensitivity. With f/1.8 aperture, you will be able to shoot 4K UHD videos paired with Softlight LED flash and Instant camera switching. Moreover, the company has specially integrated Asus SelfieMaster technology to enable users to beautify selfies, videos, and live streams.

Selfie Camera (Secondary)

The front side also includes a 5MP super wide-angle camera with the ability to capture images with 120-degrees and f/2.2 aperture. It also delivers 200% wider field of view to enable you to bring in more friends and sceneries in your frame.

Battery

Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro provides support for fast charging technology. You will be able to charge the handset quickly.

Entertainment

The handset comes with a 5-magnet speaker with NXP Smart Amp with support for DTS for headphone. The phone also offers Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24-bit standard with dual internal microphone coupled with Asus noise reduction technology.

Price

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro will be available for sale at Rs. 23999 exclusively on Flipkart from September 21. Interestingly, the date coincides with the Flipkart Big Billion Days. Asus also provides free Reliance Jio data package up to 100GB bandwidth. After the purchase of the phone, you will be able to avail the offer.

Verdict

Based on the specifications, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro will be an excellent smartphone due to the integrated of a dual selfie camera with high capacity sensors. Asus has integrated unique technologies such as SelfieMaster technology and integration of a fast-charging battery. Asus has fixed the price very competitively at Rs. 23999. Hence, the smartphone will compete with the likes of OnePlus 5 and Honor smartphones, which are priced at Rs. 30000.
