LG has launched the much-awaited LG Q6+ smartphone in Ice Platinum and Astro Black color variants at Rs. 17990. The LG Q6 series is well known for the premium features at a budget-friendly price tag. The attraction of the LG Q6+ is the integration of a 5.5-inch FullVision bezel-less display paired with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Nowadays, several manufacturers have been releasing several smartphones with the bezel-less display to catch the attention of customers. After Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 in early February, many Chinese-based companies have entered the space.
Display
The LG Q6+ is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD+ display. However, the display resolution is 2160×1080, which is different from standard FHD displays. You will be able to navigate the web and work with apps without any discomfort due to the large resolution. The highlight of the phone is the usage of a 7000-series aluminium frame to manufacture the metallic build.
Performance
Powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor, the LG Q6+ features 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB expandable internal storage. It is possible to play games without any lags and also store plenty of images and videos without microSD card. You can also install apps without worrying about the storage capacity.
Camera
The rear camera is integrated with a 13MP sensor with features such as square camera modes. Talking about the front-facing camera, the LG Q6+ offers a 5MP wide-angle lens with support for instant sharing capability. It is possible to share the captured image over social media platforms.
Operating platform
Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the LG Q6+ is pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. With a weight of 149 grams, the phone provides support for all major connectivity features and sensors including a traditional headphone port. However, the thickness of the phone is 8.1mm, which is slightly higher than the other competing handsets.
Advanced features
Although the LG Q6+ doesn’t ship with a fingerprint sensor, you will be able to unlock the device using facial recognition.
Price and Availability
Priced at Rs. 17990, the LG Q6+ will be available from September 20 in Ice Platinum and Astro Black color variants. The company will also provide one-time screen replacement warranty provided the same is available within 6 months of purchase. What’s the use of this offer? In all probability, the display will not fail within 6 months. This offer doesn’t make any sense. The phone will compete with OnePlus 5 and Honor smartphones.
