Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the much-anticipated Galaxy X foldable display smartphone. The news gathers momentum with the handset getting the required certification in South Korea. Touted as the foldable display smartphone, the rumored Samsung Galaxy X gets the model number SM-G888N0.
According to Let’sGoDigital, the Samsung Galaxy X smartphone had surfaced in the Korean National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) filing records. Moreover, the phone has been tagged under the code name “Project Valley”.
The NRRA has listed the phone as a radio equipment for global LTE communication. However, when the handset was spotted at the Wi-Fi Alliance, the Samsung Galaxy X was termed as a smartphone. In all probability, the Galaxy X will be the smartphone identical to that of the Galaxy S8 series.
We have been hearing reports about the launch of a foldable smartphone from Samsung for quite some time. However, the concept of a bendable smartphone is not new since the company had showcased a prototype of the phone named Youn way back in 2013.
