AT&T has rolled out a new August security software update to the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 8. With the build number N950USQU1AQIA, the latest update for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for it to hit your handset.
The total capacity of the update is around 220.93MB. Hence, you need to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the handset to at least 90 percent. You can install the update even if the charge is 40 percent but if your Internet connection is low, then you have to connect the AC power adapter.
The latest update resolves issues related to GPS on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Moreover, the update also provides the required fixes to the problem associated with camera launch. In addition to performance-related enhancements, the new update also refreshes the Samsung Keyboard app on the Galaxy Note 8. As mentioned above, the update is still running in August and not September.
According to the official Software update page, the installation will take several minutes depending upon the connectivity. However, it will not delete any personal data. It is not possible to perform any work including emergency calls until the installation is successfully completed.
If you are unable to receive an update message notification, you need to wait for few days since the US-based mobile carrier is rolling out the update in a phased manner. Alternatively, you can also manually verify the existence of the update by tapping the Settings menu.
To recall, Samsung pushed a new update with software version N950USQU1AQI5, which was shipped with several features, bug fixes, improvements in addition to Blueborne security patch.
