HMD Global has released a new model of the Nokia 3310 feature phone with an improved user interface at $82. The highlight of the new version is the addition of 3G support with enhanced user interface. Moreover, the Nokia 3310 handset will be available in Charcoal hues and Azure color variants starting mid-October. Even though HMD Global has released the new variant of Nokia 3310, the company hasn’t revealed the pricing of the phone.

Commenting on the development, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global disclosed that the reimagining of the Nokia 3310 has been not only a global but also cultural phenomenon. The current world is highly dominated by smartphones. In this context, the emergence of feature phone such as Nokia 3310 will capture the attention of people who would like to work with a small and beautiful phone.

Sarvikas added that the 3G support has been added based on the feedback from customers. According to company sources, the newly launched Nokia 3310 3G edition is capable of delivering 27 days of standby and 7 hours of talk time respectively.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia 3310 3G edition features a 2.4-inch display coated with a polarised layer, which helps you to read better in direct sunlight. Moreover, the phone retains the basic candy bar form factor coupled with an alphanumeric keyboard.

Talking about the optics, the Nokia 3310 is equipped with a 2MP rear camera with support LED Flash. The disadvantage of the handset is the integration of a paltry 64MB storage. However, you can easily extend the storage up to 32GB using a memory card. To initially work with the handset, you need to add a good quality microSD card.
