OnePlus 6 Rumor Roundup: Features, Specifications and Price

OnePlus 5 was two months back with improved features and specifications. There have been talks on the town regarding the upcoming OnePlus 6. According to reports, the Carl Pei-owned company will not launch OnePlus 5T in December 2017 but will launch OnePlus 6 early 2018 with bezel-less display and Snapdragon 835 processor.

Unlike the traditional 5.5-inch display in OnePlus 5, the upcoming OnePlus 6 will be most likely equipped with a 6-inch bezel-less display. Moreover, the screen will boast a massive resolution of 2880×1440 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio.

It looks like the company has decided to integrate bezel-less display to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 including LG G6 and much more. The bezel-less display has become a trend as it provides premium look with extra space to view content.

If OnePlus 6 decides to release the smartphone with a bezel-less display, you need not have to expect a fingerprint scanner on the front side. The main reason is that of the fact that there will be no space to accommodate the sensor due to the nature of the Full Displays. There is a possibility that the fingerprint sensor will be housed on the rear side below the dual rear camera.

While the OnePlus 5 is equipped with Snapdragon 835 processor, the forthcoming OnePlus 6 will be integrated with Snapdragon 845 processor. Interestingly, the Galaxy S9, LG G7 will also ship with the same chipset, which will offer enhanced processing under low-power conditions. The processor will generate less heat without compromising performance.

The OnePlus 6 will ship with both 6GB and 8GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB non-expandable storage capacities. Based on the latest technological trends, there is a possibility to infuse 128GB storage as default with 256GB onto the premium model.

According to reports, the OnePlus 5 will be discontinued after the arrival of the OnePlus 6 in 2018. f you have access to OnePlus 5, you will receive an update to Android Oreo. However, the company will not push Android P to OnePlus 5. In the case of the OnePlus 6, the handset will be pre-loaded with Android Oreo with an assured update to Android P.

Regarding price, the OnePlus 6 will be available at $150 more than the currently available OnePlus 5. The main reason for the increase in the price is attributed to the bezel-less display and addition of Snapdragon 835 processor.
