Huawei is scheduled to launch the much-awaited Honor 7X smartphone on October 11. The launch of Honor 7X is seen with great importance as the company is currently selling Honor 6X at a budget-friendly price. Moreover, the Honor 6X got rave reviews among the tech community due to the quality of the camera and display. The company also released an update to Android Nougat and also promised an update to Android Oreo before the end of 2017.
Display
Like the Honor 6X, the Honor 7X will feature a 5.5-inch IPS FHD display. However, the resolution if the display will be 2040×1080 pixels with a pixel density of 420 PPI. There are reports that Huawei will release the Honor 7X with a bezel-less display to provide a premium look and feel. Nowadays, manufacturers have been releasing smartphones with bezel-less Infinity display and Huwaei is most likely to follow the trend.
Performance
Talking about the internals, the Huawei Honor 7X will be equipped with Kirin 670 processor, Mali-T830MP2 graphics, 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB expandable internal storage.
We also expect the release of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant of the Honor 6X. Based on the latest technological trends, we also expect the release of a 6GB RAM paired with 128GB storage model of the handset.
Camera
While the rear side will feature a dual camera comprising of 12MP and 2MP sensors, the front-facing snapper will bear an 8MP sensor with support for FHD video recording. In addition to the LED Flash, the Honor 7X will also provide support for PDAF, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR and face detection capabilities. You will be able to capture FHD videos at 30fps.
Operating Platform
While the Honor 6X was shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the upcoming Honor 7X will be pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. If you have Honor 6X, you can upgrade to Nougat. The company has announced that they will provide Android Oreo to both Honor 6X and 7X smartphones.
Connectivity
The Honor 7X will provide support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 including a wide range of standard sensors. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear although there is a possibility of embedding it into the fingerprint sensor.
Battery
We expect the Honor 7X to ship with 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. The Honor 6X was shipped with standard charging. The technology has changed and hence Huawei can’t stand alone. Hence, the addition of the fast charging support is almost confirmed.
Pricing
If you need to purchase Honor 7X, you should pay more than what you paid for Honor 6X since the company has integrated several features. We don’t know when the company will launch the phone in India. However, we expect the handset to cost Rs. 19999 for the 64GB storage variant when it launches in India.
We will continue to keep track of the developments and provide you with updates. The features and price will be exposed during the official launch event in China on October 11.
