Essential Phone Gets Better With Camera Enhancements

Essential Phone

Essential Phone gets a new software update within few days of its delivery to customers. With software version number NMJ03B, the latest update is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. After the installation of the update, the performance of the camera app will improve to a large extent.

In addition to bug fixes, the latest update also enhances the performance of the camera. Moreover, the update also includes framework related changes. The camera app will be bumped from 0.1.069 to 0.1.073.

In the latest Camera app 0.1.073, Essential has given importance to low-light photography. You will be able to experience enhanced quality in pictures captured in low-light.

It is possible to record 360-degree video simply by selecting the Power button after attaching the dedicated module. The latest version of the Camera app also eliminates the shutter lag with one-off captures coupled with improvement in the quality of the images.

We don’t have any information about when Essential will release Android 8.0 Nougat update. Based on the trends, we expect the company to push Oreo update before the end of 2017.
