Verizon pushes Android Nougat to Samsung Galaxy Tab E with version T377VVRU1CQH9

Samsung Galaxy Tab E

Verizon has released Android 7.1.1 Nougat for the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8-inch tablet. With software version T377VVRU1CQH9, the latest update also includes August security patch. The update is being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your smartphone depending upon the location.

After the installation of Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E will be refreshed with split-screen functionality including enhanced power saving Doze mode. You will be able to experience enhanced battery life.

In addition to a new user interface, the update also brings in improvements to the camera. It is now possible to view the live previews of the effects directly on the display. You just need to swipe left to pick your relevant filter.

According to industry analysts, the Android Nougat update has arrived a bit late for the tablet. However, better late than never. The update has been rolled out and you can try to download it either automatically or by manually navigating to the Settings menu.

Before proceeding to download the update, you need to activate Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to 95% to avoid interruption. You can install the update with 35% battery but you have to monitor your battery level. IWe would recommend connecting the tablet to the AC power.

To recall, Google had released Android 8.0 Oreo, which is being made available to select smartphones. The recently released Google Pixel 2 series ships pre-loaded with Android Oreo. Moreover, several manufacturers have promised upgrades to Oreo before the end of 2017. It remains to be seen as to when Google will release Oreo for the Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet.
