AT&T LG V20 Refreshes With August Security Update

AT&T has rolled out security update and performance improvements to the flagship LG V20 smartphone. With build number H91010P, the update to AT&T LG V20 brings in improvements to HD voice and Wi-Fi calling. Moreover, your handset will be updated with patches up to August 2017.

After the installation of the update, the quality of the HD voice quality will improve significantly on the LG V20 running on AT&T. If you are wondering as to whether the latest update is based on Android Oreo, then you are wrong. The latest round of patches is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Hence, the wait to get Android 7.1.1 and Oreo will be a bit longer than expected.

Interestingly, few smartphone manufacturers such as Nokia, OnePlus, Honor have already promised the rollout of Android Oreo before the end of 2017 or early 2018. We can expect an update before the upcoming MWC 2018.

However, if you are working with Pixel and Nexus smartphones, you already have access to Android 8.0 Oreo. If you are still running Nougat, you need to complete the process to get Oreo. You need to refer to the official Google support page.
