Xiaomi is scheduled to launch the much-anticipated bezel-less Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 smartphone in India on October 10. The handset will be made available exclusively via Flipkart. The homegrown e-commerce company has published a teaser, which reveals that the Mi Mix 2 is coming to India along with an image of the front display. Moreover, the teaser also includes #TechVsArt hashtag.
Designed with a metal chassis coupled with the four-sided ceramic rear body, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be equipped with a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The screen offers an aspect ratio of 18:9 and will be bezel-less on all the three sides except the bottom.
On the internals, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB non-expandable internal storage loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat on top of MIUI 9. There is also a possibility for the launch of a premium 128GB storage variant.
While the rear camera includes a 12MP sensor with support for autofocus and dual-tone LED flash, the front-facing camera offers a 5MP sensor with face recognition capability.
The rear camera is integrated with a dual LED flash, Sony IMX386 sensor, 4-axis OIS, 5P lens alongside f/2.0 aperture with support for HDR and PDAF. The phone also offers a fingerprint sensor on the back side. The integrated 3400mAh battery will be capable of delivering a backup of three days with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Like in the case of the iPhone 8 series, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 doesn’t ship with a 3.5mm headphone port. However, the product package includes a USB Type-C adapter using which you can connect headphones. The phone will provide support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS in addition to Type-C fast charging port.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is currently available on Gearbest in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage models with 6GB RAM starting at $558.99. An investment of $100 more is required to buy the 256GB storage variant.
