HTC is gearing up to launch HTC U11 smartphone on November 2. The media invite doesn’t mention the name of the handset and it mentions only the message “Save the date”. However, we expect that the phone could be HTC U11 Plus, which will have Android One flavor.
Touted to be a refreshed edition of the HTC U11, the upcoming HTC U11 Plus will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo. With Xiaomi launching Android One smartphone, HTC will also most likely launch a new handset with the platform, which has been outdated.
There are reports that the HTC will launch the new phone with both 4GB and 8GB RAM. The company had launched 4GB/8GB RAM models for HTC U11 but the only 4GB model was made available in India. Hence, even if the company launches 8GB RAM of HTC U11 Plus, we can only expect the release of 4GB.
Meanwhile, the video of the HTC U11 Plus was recently leaked on the web and it exposed the shiny blue color. The smartphone is dubbed to ship with a bezel-less display coupled with stereo speakers. If the rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will ship with a 6-inch FHD display with 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
If HTC is not releasing the U11 Plus, then we expect the launch of HTC U11 Life pre-loaded with Android One. According to rumors, the HTC U11 Life will be equipped with a 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage. The device is expected to be priced at around $450.
