Sharp has launched Sharp Aquos R Compact in Japan in Diamond Yellow, Amethyst Purple, Moon White, and Tourmaline Black color variants. The main attraction of the Sharp Aquos R Compact is the addition of a 4.9-inch FHD+ display coupled with Android Oreo.
Touted to be a Softbank Japan exclusive, the Sharp Aquos R Compact is equipped with a 4.9-inch IGZO full HD+ display with a massive resolution of 2032×1080 pixels. On the internals, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo.
While the rear camera features a 16.4MP sensor with support for LED Flash, PDAF, and hybrid AF, the front camera bears an 8MP camera. The device is powered by a 2500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. In addition to Wi-Fi, the smartphone provides support for Bluetooth 5 and GPS. The fingerprint sensor is integrated on to the physical home button.
Moreover, the Sharp Aquos R Compact is resistant to water and dust via IP68. The thickness of the phone is 9.6mm, which is higher than the standard smartphones. Interestingly, the company has embedded in-house developed digital AI assistant EMOPA. You will be able to perform a wide range of functionalities with the smart assistant.
