If you have access to the Nokia 8 smartphone, you will be eligible to receive a beta version of Android 8.0 Oreo provided you register by navigating to nokia.com/phones/betalabs. As soon as you register for the Nokia Phones Beta Labs program, you will be eligible to receive an OTA update within few hours.
Like with any other beta version, the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Nokia 8 will also have bugs and issues. However, users can send their feedback to the product team by using the bundled app included with the update. Meanwhile, Sarvikas also confirmed that the Android Oreo update will be pushed to Nokia 3, 5 and 6 within the next few days.

To recall, HMD Global had confirmed that Nokia 7 will receive not only Oreo very soon but also Android P update in late 2018. The series of updates will bring in several features including bug fixes and enhancements. With a plenty of Nokia-branded smartphones, the company should push updates to retain customers.
In a bid to compete with Nokia, OnePlus also announced the availability of Android 8.0 Oreo before the end of 2017. However, the handset will not receive Android P update, which is disappointing. We will continue to keep track of the development and provide you with updates. Stay tuned.
