Nokia 2 Antutu Listing Confirms Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Nokia 2 has surfaced on Antutu, which exposes the specifications of the rumored smartphone. According to the screenshot grabbed from GSMArena, the upcoming Nokia 2 will ship with model number TA-1035 coupled with Snapdragon 212 processor and Adreno 304 graphics.

Dubbed as an entry-level smartphone, the Nokia 2 will carry 1GB RAM alongside 8GB internal storage. We don’t have any confirmation as to whether the storage capacity can be expanded but it should be capable of expansion because of the mediocre default storage.

The display resolution has been listed as 1280×720 pixels but there is no information about the size of the screen. However, we expect the size to be around 4.7-inch or 5-inch. The chances for Nokia to integrate a 5.5-inch display is ruled out because of the low RAM and storage.

Talking about the optics, the Nokia 2 will be equipped with a 8MP sensor on the rear paired with a 5MP sensor on the front. The sensors will ship with standard features such as LED Flash but advanced features are ruled out.

Interestingly, HMD Global has managed to integrate Android 7.1.1 Nougat despite low-end specifications. It remains to be seen as to how the Android Nougat will work with 1GB RAM. Even though the Antutu listing doesn’t reveal the battery capacity, it could be around 3000mAh. However, the rumor mills state the presence of 4000mAh battery. If true, then the handset will be able to deliver plenty of backup time for normal usage.

That being said, the Nokia 2 is oriented for students and senior citizens who would like to have a budget smartphone with all the latest features. Gamers should not expect any punch from the phone, although games can be played with minor lags.

To recall, the Nokia 2 is revolving around rumor mills with the phone being surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG and also on a popular e-commerce retailer based in the US. The phone is expected to hit Indian shores on October 31.
