Qualcomm has released Snapdragon 636 processor during the sidelines of the recently held 4G/5G summit in Hong Kong on October 16. According to sources, the new chipset is powerful since it provides improvements related to display, gaming, performance, camera, and connectivity.
Manufactured using 14nm FinFet technology, the Snapdragon 636 chip is capable of delivering 40% enhanced performance when compared to the previously released Snapdragon 630 chipset. While the gaming speed is enhanced by 600Mbps, the overall gaming performance increases by 10%.
The Snapdragon 630 processor is equipped with 1.8 GHz Octa Core Kryo 260 CPUs, which offers 40% enhanced performance. Moreover, the embedded Adreno 590 graphics will boost the performance of gaming and browsing. The high download speed is achieved with the help of the Snapdragon X12 LTE Modem designed by Qualcomm.
Going forward, we can expect the release of the smartphones with an ultra-wide FHD+ display, which helps you to adjust the visibility of the screen in extreme lighting conditions. The processor consists of the 14bit Qualcomm Spectra 160 ISP that helps in capturing premium images of up to 24MP capacity coupled with support for zero shutter lag, autofocus, and smooth zoom.
Talking about the audio, the Snapdragon 636 Chip provides support for aptX and Aqstic audio for an enhanced sound experience. That said, the addition of the QuickCharge 4 technology helps you to charge the device quickly with low heat consumption.
