Amazon India Trolled Over Excessive Amazon Echo Dot Case Pricing

Amazon Echo

Amazon India has launched Echo series speakers in India. The Amazon Echo Dot is one of the most popular speakers because of its small size, easy portability and the ability to establish connectivity with external speakers. However, you require a good quality Amazon Echo Dot Case to protect your valuable tiny voice-enabled digital speaker.

With Amazon Echo Dot starting to ship from warehouse, customers are on a lookout for accessories. Amazon is currently selling Amazon Echo Dot Case for an expensive Rs. 1499.

Upon inspection of the image, we can see that the case only covers the side portion and not the top. Hence, dust will find the place on the top portion if the speaker is used in a dusty environment.

Amazon Echo Dot Case

The product received an angry response from customers. There are over 44 comments and all of them turned to be negative. It looks like none of the customers had purchased the case. Interestingly, the  Amazon Echo Dot Case is sold by the same seller Cloudtail India, who is also selling the Echo devices.

It’s evident after reading the reviews that they are posted by customers without purchasing them. As you can see from the below images, customers are asking for the purpose of selling a simple case for almost half the price of the Echo Dot itself. The selling of the case for Rs. 1499 cannot be accepted when the Echo Dot is itself available at Rs. 3149.

It’s normal for Amazon to sell accessories for a huge price. Image the case of the Amazon Kindle. If you check out the accessories for Kindle, all of them are overpriced. It seems that customers are now smarter than before.

A good quality case is required for Amazon Echo Dot but it should be of a reasonable value. If Amazon sells the  Amazon Echo Dot Case for Rs. 499, then it will sell like hotcakes.
