Google Assistant Now Provides Support For Spanish and Italian Languages

Google has launched the voice-based Google Assistant for Spanish and Italian languages in the US, Mexico, and Spain. Moreover, the search-engine giant also added support for the Italian language. If you live in the US, you can ask Google Assistant to perform various functions in either Spanish and Italian.

According to Google, the main aim of the company is to enable you to perform the required work easily irrespective of the language. Moreover, you can make use of any device to fetch answers to queries. The advantage of Google Assistant is that it gives you answers directly from Google search engine and not from third-party services such as Alexa.

The Spanish and Italian language has joined the league of the currently available English, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese and Korean. It is possible to use the English language in the US, UK, Australia, Canada and other major countries including India. The French can be used in France and Canada.

Even though Google has rolled out Spanish and Italian, the relevant languages will be available on Android smartphones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and higher after few days.

The update is pushed via OTA and you will have to update the Assistant to work with the new languages. Moreover, you should install the latest version of Google Play Services. Google also announced the availability of the new language in iPhones before the end of 2017.

With Google Assistant, it is possible to fetch answers related to news, weather, sports, games, jokes, calendar and much more. Google Allo, a smart messaging tool includes support for Google Assistant. Google also released a portable speaker powered with the Assistant similar to that of Amazon Echo.
