HMD Global Launches Nokia 5 3GB RAM Variant With 3000mAh Battery

HMD Global has released Nokia 5 3GB RAM variant in Tempered Blue and Matte Black color variants at Rs. 13499. Previously, the company had launched 2GB RAM model at INR 12499.However, the Nokia 5 3GB RAM has been priced slightly higher to compensate for the increase memory capacity.

The main highlight of the new model is the addition of 3000mAh battery, which is capable of offering plenty of backup upon normal usage. Unlike other smartphones, the storage can be expanded using microSD card.

The Nokia 5 3GB RAM features a 5.2-inch HD (1280×720) IPS 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protected display alongside a Snapdragon 430 processor. The handset offers 3GB RAM coupled with 16GB of expandable (up to 128GB) internal storage.

The rear camera is equipped with a 13MP sensor with support for PDAF, dual-tone flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, the Nokia 5 3GB RAM will have an 8MP f/2.0 aperture sensor with support for the 84-degree field of view and autofocus. Even though the handset ships pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the company has assured Android Oreo within the next few days.

Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Nokia 5 3GB RAM provides support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, OTG including a traditional headphone port. Furthermore, the phone includes support for standard sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light, proximity, gyroscope and digital compass.

The Nokia 5 3GB RAM variant will be available initially exclusively on Flipkart starting November 7 with plenty of offers. As part of the launch offer, Flipkart is offering 5GB extra 4G data on every recharge of Rs. 309 with a limit to 10 charges until August 31, 2018. The handset will be made available via retail outlets across India after November 14.
