Honor is gearing up to launch the next generation Honor 7X in December 2017. According to Honor Global President George Zhao, the company will launch the Honor 7X in India as an offline exclusive. However, he declined to reveal an exact date or time frame.

If rumors are to be believed, the Honor 7X will be available only in offline stores, to begin with. The handset will also be available via Flipkart and Amazon but the main thrust and focus will be on the offline segment.

Responding to media, Zhao added that the Honor 7X will launch in December at a stunning price and will beat the pricing standards set by the competing manufacturers. He agreed that the marketing strategy of Honor should improve to a large extent although the smartphones have a capability to compete with the premium devices such as OnePlus.

Honor 7X Specifications

The Honor 7X will feature a 5.9-inch FHD bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Kirin 659 processor, Mali-T830 MP2 graphics, 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage. Expected to be designed out of metal, the phone will be loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat on top of EMUI 5.1 user interface.

Addition of dual camera

While the rear side will have a dual camera setup comprising of 16MP and 2MP sensors, the front side will feature an 8MP sensor. According to rumors, the camera specifications of the Honor 7X will be the same as the currently available Honor 6X. The handset will be pre-loaded with 3340mAh battery, which will be capable of delivering a standby time of over five days upon normal usage.

Like in the case of the Honor 6X, the upcoming 7X variant will provide support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and GLONASS. The device will ship with hybrid SIM slots including a dedicated fingerprint sensor on the rear.

The Honor 7X is already available in China. The 32GB and 64GB storage variants will be available at INR 13000 and 17000 respectively. However, the 128GB storage model will cost a slightly higher INR 20000.
