OnePlus 5T Scheduled To launch In New York With Advanced Video Stabilization Features

OnePlus has announced the launch of the much-awaited OnePlus 5T in Brooklyn, New York at 11 AM ET (4 PM GMT) on November 16. Tagged as “A New View“, the launch event will be live streamed on YouTube and social channels.

The main highlight of the OnePlus 5T will be the integration a powerful video stabilization solution including the accurate sRGB display calibrations. According to company sources, nearly 15000 users have contributed extensively to the Open Beta program by sharing bug reports in addition to new feature and improvement suggestions.

To attend the event, you need to book the tickets by navigating to the launch page on November 8. Moreover, you should also pay $40 to buy one ticket. Alternatively, you can watch the live launch event via YouTube or by visiting the official product campaign page on the day of the event.

The company also disclosed on the official forum about the expected availability timelines. If you are in Europe and North America, you will be able to buy OnePlus 5T starting November 21. The smartphone will hit China on December 1.

According to Carl, Co-founder, OnePlus, the device will be made available to Early Bird customers based in India via a flash sale on November 21. However, the official sales will kick start on November 28. Even though there is no official confirmation, we expect OnePlus 5T will be available exclusively via Amazon India and also vis the official OnePlus India store.

OnePlus 5T specifications

The recent GFXBench listing revealed via TechieState states that the OnePlus 5T will feature a 6.01-inch Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The interesting aspect will be that fact that the display will be bezel-less with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Likely to be powered by the same Snapdragon 835 processor, the OnePlus 5T will be equipped with 20MP dual rear camera sensors paired with an equal amount of front camera sensor. Moreover, the handset will be pre-loaded with Android Oreo. The company will also most likely push Android Oreo upgrade to OnePlus 5 along with the launch of the upcoming phone.

In addition to all the standard connectivity features and sensors, the OnePlus 5T will also probably feature a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. Moreover, the device will bear a 6GB RAM alongside 64GB/128GB eMMC storage.

Recently, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared via Weibo that the OnePlus 5T will cost CNY 4000, which equates to $600. In India, the smartphone will cost between Rs. 40000 to Rs. 45000 for the 8GB RAM although there are speculations that the device will cost around RS. 38000.
