Samsung has announced Exynos 9810 processor on the sidelines of the 36 CES 2018 Innovation Awards. The chipset will be integrated with the flagship smartphones expected to hit retail shelves in 2018. According to reports, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones will be powered by the new Exynos 9810 processor. Moreover, the Galaxy Note 9 to be launched in August 2018 will also be equipped with the new processor for units shipped to Asian countries.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will be available in both Snapdragon and Exynos processors. There are rumors that the Galaxy S9 will ship with Snapdragon 845 processor. When it comes to the other variant, you can expect the addition of Exynos 9810 processor, which will be shipped to International countries outside the US.
Exynos 9810 Features
According to Samsung, the new Exynos 9810 processor will be manufactured with third generation custom CPU cores coupled with gigabit 4G LTE modem with 6CA support. The highlight of the Exynos 9810 is that the company has manufactured the processor based on 10nm process.
High download speed
The company hasn’t disclosed the graphics variant of the processor. Moreover, the new processor will be capable of downloading content up to 1.2Gbps. The company sources revealed that the high speed is achieved with the help of the 6 band LTE technology.
To recall, Samsung has infused Exynos 8895 processor in the currently available Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones. The devices are equipped with a bezel-less Infinity display with Iris scanner and Android 7.1 Nougat.
It remains to be seen as to how the new Exynos 9810 processor will perform in the real world. We have to wait for few days to know about the performance, benchmarks and power efficiency of the new chipset. Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphone on the sidelines of the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in early 2018.
