The SJCAM SJ8 PRO is the premium high-end action camera, which will be capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps with support for H.265 codec. According to company sources, the upcoming camera will be able to compete with the ever-growing action camera industry. SJCAM SJ8 PRO
Touted as the premium camera, the SJCAM SJ8 PRO will be equipped with Ambarella H2 chipset, Sony IMX377 sensor with support for 4K videos at 60fps. Even though the specifications are identical to that of the Yi 4K+ camera, the SJ8 PRO will enable you to record with H.265 codec including the capability to record FHD videos at 120fps.
Likely to be powered by a 1200mAh battery, the SJCAM SJ8 PRO features a 2.33-inch display on the rear coupled with a 0.96-inch display on the front. It is also possible to establish connectivity with an external microphone and remote control.
The company sources confirmed to us that the action camera will not ship with support for GPS but you will be able to connect an external module. We don’t have any information about the price of the SJCAM SJ8 PRO.
SJCAM SJ8+
The SJCAM SJ8+ will be equipped with Novatek 96683 processor, Sony IMX117 sensor with the ability to snap images up to 12MP. You can shoot FHD videos with up to 120fps with support for H.265 video codec and EIS. The camera will feature a 2.33-inch touch display with an additional display on the front. The integrated 1200mAh battery will be capable of delivering over 100 hours of video capturing capability.
SJCAM SJ8 AIR
The SJCAM SJ8 AIR will be equipped with Novatek 96658 processor, Panasonic MN34110PA sensor coupled with up to 14MP image capturing ability. The camera helps you to shoot FHD videos at 60fps with a 2.33-inch touch display. With SJ8 Air, you can view a live preview of the captured video and will be powered by a 1200mAh battery. It also provides support for an external microphone and remote control including H.264.
