OnePlus recently released the much-anticipated OnePlus 5T with a large bezel-less display. The smartphone was pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat instead of the Android8.0 Oreo, which was unveiled a few months back. It was rumored that the OnePlus 5T will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo but it turned out to be Android Nougat. Based on the latest leaks, the OnePlus 5T will be refreshed with Android 8.0 Oreo by early 2018.
In addition to OnePlus 5T, the company will also roll out Android 8.0 Oreo for the currently available OnePlus 5. Hence, you can expect Oreo for both smartphones before the end of January 2018. We can believe in the rumor because the OnePlus 3/3T received the required Nougat update by the end of December 2016.
If you are planning to buy OnePlus 5T, which will hit Amazon on November 21, you should enroll in the open beta program expected to launch in December. Moreover, if you are working with OnePlus 5, the Android 8.0 Oreo beta program will hit the air most likely by the end of November.
