Razer Phone Hits Microsoft Store in the US and Canada

Razer has established a strategic partnership with Microsoft to sell the recently released Razer phone powered by Android. As per the deal, the Razer phone will be available exclusively at Microsoft Stores located in the US and Canada. Touted for gamers, the device will be made available not only at offline Microsoft Store but also via online mode.

In addition to the standard variant of the Razer phone, Microsoft is also selling out a special edition with a green Razer logo on the rear. According to sources, the Nextbit-acquired company has manufactured only 1337 units and you should purchase the smartphone immediately before it runs out of stock.

Razer Phone specs

On the specifications front, the Razer Phone features a 5.76-inch QHD IGZO IPS (1440×2560, 515PPI) display, Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 8GB RAM, 64GB internal storage powered by a 4000mAh battery. The high refresh rate of 120Hz helps you to play games without any lags or glitches. Moreover, the high pixel density helps you to read content easily without any strain.

Normal camera features

The rear side offers a dual camera mechanism consisting of 12MP sensors with support for 2x optical zoom, PDAF, and dual-LED flash. The secondary sensor basically comprises of the telephoto lens, which is capable of shooting wide images. On the front, you have an 8MP sensor. As you can see, the camera specifications of Razer Phone is similar to other conventional handsets and there is nothing special.

The device is not suitable for image and video capturing even though you can shoot pictures with basic quality. Your photography expectations should be less when you work with the Razer Phone. The camera specs are not even at par with the OnePlus 5, which has a massive sensor on both rear and the front.

Addition of fast charging

The 4000mAh battery integrated with the Razer Phone is capable of delivering up to 7 hours of non-stop gaming and over 13 hours of video rendering. Moreover, you will get up to 64 hours of music playback. It is to be noted that the actual backup will vary depending upon the usage conditions. The main attraction of the Razer Phone is the addition of Quick Charge 4+ (24W fast charging) technology, which is capable of charging up to 85% within one hour.

The smartphone features Dolby Atmos stereo speakers for an awesome sounding experience. Razer has integrated Nova launcher by default. However, Microsoft revealed that their own Android launcher will also be compatible with the phone. You will not find any bloatware because of the handset ships with stock Android.
