Xiaomi has launched a new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 smartphone in China. Priced at CNY 1999 ($302), the new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 features 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB expandable internal storage. Previously, the company had launched 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB storage capacities.
Display
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD display with a standard pixel density of 403PPI. The smartphone is designed using a 4-sided curved body. There is nothing new about the display and you will be able to work with apps and browse the web without any difficulty. The display size is optimal for social media work.
Performance
Powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 features 4GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage. A 3500mAh battery integrated into the smartphone provides the required power to work with the device. The processor runs at a clock speed of 2.2GHz.
Camera
The main highlight of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is the addition of a dual camera on the rear comprising of 12MP sensors. While the primary 12MP features f/1.8 aperture and wide-angle lens, the secondary 12MP sensor consists of a telephoto lens. Moreover, the camera also provides support for PDAF, 2x optical zoom including the ability to capture 4K videos. The selfie camera consists of a 16MP sensor, which is sufficient for capturing stunning facial images with a large number of people. Moreover, the front camera also includes AI-based Beautify feature and the capability to unlock using facial recognition.
Connectivity
In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, USB Type-C fast charging port including several standard sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, infrared and gyroscope. With an overall weight of 163 grams, the smartphone measures 7.6mm thickness.
Pricing
To begin with, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will be available in China at CNY 1999 ($302) starting November 23. However, the device will be available only in Blue color option. Xiaomi also slashed the prices of 64GB and 128GB (Black color) storage variants to CNY 2299 ($350) and CNY 2599 ($400) respectively. Interestingly, both these variants offer 6GB RAM.
